Pumpkin Spice Smoothie
Welcome to Week 2 of our Fall Smoothie Challenge!
Who doesn’t like anything pumpkin spice at this time of year?
Ingredients:
1/3 cup of pumpkin puree
1/2 frozen banana (handful of ice if you are not fans of bananas)
1 cup of your choice of plant based milk (oat, almond, soy etc)
1 tsp of pumpkin spice mix (see below for the recipe OR use 1 tsp of cinnamon if you are not a fan of the other spices)
1 Tbs of ground flax (you can use chia and/or hemp hearts too)
Splash of maple syrup (optional)
Handful of icecubes
How to:
Add all of your ingredients into the blender and blend until your desired consistency!
Pumpkin Spice Mix:
1 1/2 Tbs of ground cinnamon
2 tsp of ground ginger
1/4 tsp of ground nutmeg
1/8 of tsp of clove (only if you have but not necessary)
1 pinch of allspice (again if you don’t have it omit)
**I like to make a double batch and use it in pancake, muffin, latte recipes at this time of year! Store it in a sealed mason jar and it lasts a long time…
