Pina Colada Smoothie
This is a fun smoothie to make that your whole family will enjoy!
Ingredients:
-1 frozen banana
-1 cup of frozen pinneaple
-1/2 cup of coconut milk (from a can makes it creamier and otherwise use store bought coconut milk)
-1 Tbs of ground flax
-1 Tbs of chia or hemp hearts
-splash of maple syrup
-water
**my kids like this smoothie thick, so I usually put all the ingredients into the blender and add the water at the end…filling it up just before the top of the fruit…once you start blending you can add more water if too thick and if you prefer your smoothie a little less thick add water until you like the consistency!
**I like to bump up the nutrition of the smoothie by adding in flax and chia/hemp hearts but you can make it without also!
**Another great variation: try adding fresh mint and kale to the smoothie
