Chocolate Smoothie
I can’t believe that Week 4 is already here!!
I figured that a chocolate smoothie would be a crowd pleaser…and if you make it with peanut butter it tastes like a peanut butter Reeses pieces cup!
Ingredients:
1 cup of almond milk (or any other plant based milk)
1 frozen banana (handful of ice cubes for those who don’t like banana!)
2 Tbs of cacao powder (I like using raw cacao)
1 Tbs of almond butter, peanut butter or any nut-free butter
1 Tbs of hemp hearts
1 Tbs of chia
1-2 Tbs of maple syrup
How to:
Put all the ingredients into the blender and blend until nice and smooth! Add more ice cubes or banana to make it more thick and otherwise more milk to make it less thick!
I like to add greens to my smoothies and added spinach to the smoothie in the pic below…the colour isn’t as pretty but it's still yummy!
