Week 4 of the Smoothie Challenge
Banana Mocha Smoothie
Ingredients
3 | bananas, cut into chunks | 460 g | ||
1/4 cup | coffee (liquid) or any milk of your choice or water | 65 mL | ||
1/4 cup | milk, partly skimmed, 2%, soymilk or any plant-based milk | 65 mL | ||
2 1/2 tsp | cocoa powder | 4 g | ||
4 tsp | almond butter | 20 g | ||
2 | pitted dates | 1 1/2 tbsp | ||
1/2 tsp | vanilla extract | 2.5 mL | ||
60 g | soft/silken tofu | 4 tbsp | ||
1/2 cup | water | 125 mL |
Before you start
A blender or food processor will be very useful for this recipe.
Method
- Prepare a strong coffee (if you are not using coffee simply omit this part)
- Place the ingredients in a food processor or blender.
- Process on the highest speed until a well-blended purée forms, about 1-2 min, stopping to scrape down the sides of the container once or twice. Serve.
