Mint Chocolate Energy Balls

This recipe is the OG chocolate energy ball recipe that has been and continues to be the most popular energy balls that I have and made over the years and still make! They are perfect when craving something sweet or for a little energy boost. This recipe can be modified into many different flavours and variations. 

Ingredients:

  • 16 fresh dates (if they are hard, soak them in hot water to soften before blending)

  • 4 Tbs of cocoa powder or raw cacao

  • 4 Tbs of almond butter (any nut or seed butter will do)

  • 2 Tbs of maple syrup (optional)

How to:

Blend the dates until smooth and then add the rest of the ingredients into the blender until smooth.  Roll into small energy ball size.  Roll your balls into shredded coconut OR you can roll them in anything you want: sesame seeds, chia, hemp hearts. You can roll in matcha to create matcha chocolate energy balls!

*for extra crunch, you can add 1 tsp of chia and 1tsp of hemp hearts

*2 drops of peppermint essential oil or use peppermint extract (such a great minty flavour with this)
